    3. Good Morning, I am sure that we are all working at trying to figure out the new message boards.....I started last night and finally figured out how to log on with the assistance of others. Thank you. I am writing to ask a question. On one of my boards, when you look at the main view of the board, the author that is listed for a particular post is not showing up properly....What I mean is that the way that the post is listed is not the same as the way the notification reads in regards to the author. It is a bit confusing trying to find the post. Is there a way to alphabetize your message admin lists? My list is all jumbled up now and I am having to search for each board....ie the surname boards are mixed in with the locality boards etc. When I clicked on the notification....it took me to Rootsweb to view the post and not Ancestry. That in and of itself is not a problem, but I can't find the log in on Rootsweb. I think that I am getting old and blind. :) The last question, is there some way to know which posts have been read without going into the specific post? The only way that I can see that a post has been read is when I actually click on the post and view the entries....then the orange dot appears to indicate that a particular post has not been read. I was hoping that we would have more admin tools that would make things easier, but thus far it is a struggle. Hopefully they will be able to fine tune things as we go along. Thank you for your time reading this and for any help you can provide. Jennifer -- "To accomplish great things we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe." - Anatole

    3. Oh, my goodness, after complaining there was no way to see what I had not read, I read your message about the orange dot! That is better than nothing - thanks! Oh, unfortunately, those dots are only visible once you open the first message of a thread. You can't see at a glance like you used to be able to do with the colors of the Unread messages :-( Sigh~ I'm sorry, Jennifer I don't have any answers for you. I didn't understand your first question about the author name - are you saying information on the author you can see on the message itself is not what was listed for that same message on My Notifications? I just found another disturbing thing. Whenever I was about to move a message, I would always right-click on the author of a message to see if she/he had already posted the same message to the board to which I was planning to move the message. If so, then I would see if that message could go to another list - a second surname mentioned, locality, etc. Checking the author's name no longer brings up all the posts made by that person. Will that be a feature that is returning?
