Is there an email that goes out of the names of boards that need an admin? Seeing as this probably opens up a can of worms, let me say that I like how there is a webpage of the mailing lists that need adopting, but nothing like that seems to exist for the boards... You need to locate a board of interest that has a Volunteer to Admin link on it and click that link to request the board. You CAN do a Google search to turn up a list of adoptable boards, however.
