    2. Beth- It is interesting that you mention pages freezing when navigating the boards. I've been running into that problem with delays for ALL board pages loading. It is like there is a script that runs and until it is done--the loading of of the pages just freezes. I've counted as long as 10 seconds where the pages just quit loading and freeze and don't respond. Last night was the worst--it took forever to go from page to page with some pages never fully loading. It isn't like the normal partially loading pages either--because of the freezing and not responding until the script completes --sometimes it just says javascript at the bottom or OPENING PAGE but nothing moves. Last night I had to keep closing my browser and coming back later because whatever this script is that was freezing was also overheating my laptop--the fan was running on high as soon as I tried to load any board page. Tonight it is a bit better--but there is still that lag where nothing loads until some script completes. Joan ----------- Leaving RootsWeb through the My Alerts page freezes my browser (Firefox), which eventually shuts itself down EVERY time. My first thought was it's a Firefox problem, but because it doesn't happen with any other pages think there's got to be something really weird about the My Alerts page. Also, I tried to get My Alerts in Opera a while ago, and it wouldn't even load the page. **************Start the year off right. 3. Two comments, guys -- 1. I've had the same problem all over the internet this weekend, on three different browsers. Worse, I haven't been on-line at better than 44.4 all weekend either. 2. I sort of figured my RW-based problems were a result of the recent "improvement" many sites made to accommodate the newest IE. 3. Cheryl, Unfortunately it's been going on not just this weekend but since the boards were moved to new servers -- can't remember exactly when that was. On your second point, I can remember the days of getting chewed on by Joan when she was on staff for refusing to use IE, which was the *only* browser supported by Rootsweb.<g> Beth On Jan 20, 2008 7:39 PM, singhals <[email protected]> wrote: > Two comments, guys -- > > 1.
