Oh yes, yes, yes, Joan! You've explained the whole process much better than I did, and it is SO frustrating. The freeze I mentioned referred only to the My Alerts page, but what you've said about the actual board pages is also happening. For me, the board pages are loading-freezing-loading just as you describe, but eventually they do load. But when I try to exit the My Alerts pages it ends up totally shutting down my browser, so I'm trying to train myself to leave the boards from any page other than My Alerts.<s> Apparently on the message pages themselves where you're seeing "javascript" and "opening page" Firefox is showing the name of actual script file, and I'd bet almost anything that the one that has held you up for 10 seconds is that "Transferring data from switchatdmt.com" script. I counted 9 seconds one time, but mostly it takes 3-6 seconds to run, and during that time the page is completely frozen. It's maddening. FWIW, I just found the sticky note with the error message I get when My Alerts shuts down the browser: MS Visual C+ Runtime Library Runtime Error!
