Lauren, There wasn't an official notice (from staff) posted on the BAd board either, but Joan referenced both an announcement by staff and an email sent around by staff. The original "blurb" on the obsolete HelpDesk did not include the *filing* abuse problem. Of course the current blurb on RootsWeb support (which now includes programming errors itself) claims it occurs "intermittently". In the past week, it has happened *every time* I've tried to report abuse. Not exactly intermittent. (And the pertinent message by xandervan on the BAd board detailing all the methods staff COULD notify us has been deleted.)
