In checking the Illinois Unknown County Message Board today I found the following two messages in the Recycle Bin. I can't understand why they would have been removed from the board (and they were not removed by me), as they both pertain to Illinois research. Both messages were from the same person. Message # 1 "Seeking information on cemeteries that were in existence in Cass County, IL in 1863. Any recommendations will be appreciated." Message # 2 "Seeking information on V. N. Snook photographer. Need to know the time frame when he was operating his studio in Aurora IL." If the thinking was that they should have been moved to the appropriate county boards, then why were they just summarily dumped in the Recycle Bin? Karima --- avast! Most likely because both are off topic, since the board topic is most likely "Unknown county or multiple counties," but that is a guess. In any event, if they were removed by staff then they would be who you should be asking, but they would not do it without valid reason (and likely someone reporting them using the "Report Abuse" option) and you may not get any response if you were to ask.
