And state that any/all posts will be deleted without notice or further discussion. You shouldn't have to be put in the middle between posters. On the subject of copyright... names and dates are NOT under copyright regardless of who found the date first or who figured out first that the name was in some record spelled some other way. I would include this fact in your one-time post. Include a link to a good genealogy copyright discussion page-- or to the List that discusses copyright issues. And again say that any replies that personally attacks over who owns dates or facts will be deleted except if the post is in the spirit of genealogical discussion. IF the author still clicks report abuse, deal with those without comment to "author". That is how I would handle it. Put your post on both boards (re-worded so it isn't duplicate). Judy
