I, too, have dial-up, but I usually don't see any huge delays. Perhaps you have too many processes running, you have a misconfigured popup blocker, or your firewall needs tweaking, or you need to do some basic computer maintenance (clearing cache, cleaning up your disks, defragmenting). The folks on the Computers list (see http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/other/Internet_Help/COMPUTERS.html) may be able to advise you. Like Jackie, I use Firefox, which I find runs a little faster than Netscape. Try cable modem or satellite if you're desperate. Lynne
