Marilyn: The only thing that I can think of that would be reason to delete or move such a post is if that was ALL it was about. In the realm of "lookie I have a web site" with no genealogical content. Board topic is not announcement of resources. There may be a more appropriate venue for such an announcement. However, mention of a yahoo group or other resource as part of a genealogical post would not be cause for removal --- unless it is a commercial site. Yahoo does not fit that category. I don't agree. If an announcement of free genealogy web sites doesn't belong on Boards, where would they? If it is not commercial, I see no problem.
