    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BF.2ADIAE/1203.1.2.1.1.1.1.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Hi Erika, One time I had the opportunity to talk on the phone to a boss-type person in Rootsweb (very unusual, so I was very pleased). One of the things we discussed was about Admins getting more recognition, and I was told RW & Ancestry hadn't really kept "a list" of all the various volunteers who perform Admin jobs on Boards or Lists. They KNOW we're all there but it isn't like either one has a "master mailing list" for all Admins & our email addresses (and changes to our addys). He commented that the volunteerism role is becoming more recognized as a vital aspect of both services (Ancestry & RW) and they are discussing how they can better keep track of volunteers through a master list of sorts. But this is not in place now. I even pointed out to him over on Ancestry they have a CCC Volunteer Progam (Consumer Contributed Content) with a separate web page that has never been utilized but has been there for several?? years; I signed up there a long, long time ago but there is absolutely nothing to "do" as a volunteer. They realize these deficiencies and hope to someday get volunteers & the valuable work we do and get more aligned with contact and recognition. But that is future. Having said all this, I agree with Joan. If I want Admin info, I sign onto lists, just as if I want the daily news I turn on the TV, buy a paper etc. Judy

    3. Wouldn't Ancestry simply do a global search of its computer/server files to obtain the names of all list and board admin? I would think their software (probably far more sophisticated than mine) would approximate what my mail program or Power Desk can do, I can search from the top for items (specific or vague) and a neat list of hits is provided to me.
