    3. I don't know if this is feasible (or even advisable) for general use or not, but when I clean a board post and the surname fields are not TOO bad, I simply edit them and leave it at that. If it is really more than just a minor problem, then I post my own reply after my editing is completed and point out the problem. After waiting a minute or two for the system to send my reply to them via e-mail, I then delete my board response. Don't know if this is worth considering by anyone else or not, but it does seem to help "long run" in at least a few cases. Just something to consider. David E. While logged on as administrator on the Ancestry side, open the post and click on the author ID. You'll either get a message saying "This person does not have a public profile because they posted before registration was required," often with their e-mail address displayed, or you'll be taken to an anonymous contact page where you can complete an e-mail form. See "Extra! Extra! New Admin Function" on the Administrator News board at <http://boards.ancestry.com/adminnews/12/mb.ashx> for the full story. Occasionally I post an admin message on a board. I seriously doubt anyone reads them, but it makes me feel better. I only leave the post for a few days and then delete it. Lynne
