Thanks to all who replied on this one. I have come to the conclusion I can do it if it doesn't mess up the thread - but that I should only do so if really necessary ! BTW - I have just volunteered for another board which looks like it may need a little gentle cleaning on subject and surnamne lines etc...... Thanks again Fiona
