Thanks everyone for your suggestions and explanations. Whatever was wrong yesterday seems to be working okay today. I was clicking on a link in my Favorite Places to get to the sign in page so I wasn't typing the URL in manually, but I was taken to the rootsweb home page and when I clicked the "Sign In" I kept getting the rootsweb home page, where I clicked "Sign In", which took me to the rootsweb home page, etc. etc. etc........ like I was going in circles and the actual sign in page never appeared.
