This could be ME and not a problem with the Move Message function but I don't THINK so. I'll admit trying to move/fix 350 posts since yesterday may have me seeing cross-eyed or not thinking clearly BUT... Here's what I experienced on the USA General board: I went through ALL of the marked objections and moved the posts to their proper boards and they appeared to move. I then deleted the objections (I know, I know -- it would have been preferable to reject the objection FIRST--but as I explained before I just got into problems if I tried doing it that way). If the objections moved to another board I admin (which some of them did) then I rejected the objection again which was now showing (as it should have) on the board the post was moved to. Now that sounds fine and would seem to mean everything is working as it should...BUT... This afternoon, in reviewing my boards I saw what I thought were some old familiar posts on the USA board that I'd already marked and moved last night and earlier today and I KNOW I didn't leave dupes on the board. Hmmmmm...could Move Message be moving the posts to a new board but also LEAVING a copy on the original board? Pehaps someone with a smaller board and fewer objections could tell me if they have experienced this phenomenon also? So far, I feel like this is deja vu all over again and that I've SEEN these posts before. At first, I just assumed these were the marked posts I "lost" last night when I rejected the objections BEFORE I actually moved the posts --- BUT, when I got to some very familiar posts that I distinctly remembered having MOVED successfully, I decided that couldn't be the case and stopped moving these unmarked misplaced posts until I can get an answer to this question. In case, anyone needs a sample -- I had marked and moved THIS post from USA General to the SHARP surname board last night: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.general/19992.1.1/mb.ashx It IS on the SHARP board too where I moved it (and I'd bet the objection is still attached to it there but I can't see it because I don't admin that board). However, it is now on the SHARP board twice and STILL on the USA General board where I plan to delete it now that I know it's a dupe--but not until staff has a chance to figure out what the problem is.
