A spammer hit a bunch of Indiana boards this morning with a chain letter, but after I reported it to the "Report Abuse" link, something occurred to me. When we do that and David (or whoever) removes the dozens of board posts, does he as a matter of practice also remove all of the posts from the archives that made it through the gateway to the lists? As long as I've been an admin that never occurred to me before, but should we also individually request removal from the list archives of what can be dozens or even hundreds (in some cases) of spam posts? That is NOT a task I relish taking the time for, not when the number of lists can be so high in some cases, but do we need to do it? My apologies for cross-posting this to BAd and LO both, but this is one of those questions that leaves me wondering which one it belongs on, if not both. :-( David E. Cann decann@infionline.net
