    1. Re: [BAd] Question about Board notifications
    2. Judy- The poster can't go back and change the option after a message is posted, but I believe STAFF can make a global change to stop sending ALL notices (not just a single one) if the poster who wishes to have all notices stopped would let either the HelpDesk or messageboards@rootsweb.com know. I believe this is a ONE TIME ONLY option and can't be reversed once the notices are stopped. Joan In a message dated 4/27/2009 9:09:59 A.M. Or, they don't want to hear anything more on the topic (like 6 months after they last replied).... So how do you STOP those THREAD update notifications? As an experiment, I left one checked... It is not under Board Favorites or Notifications to stop it, so where is it? Is there a place to "stop notifying me of thread replies" ? Or, even "Quit bothering me?" 3. There are no board archives [only the lists have archives] and she was talking about the board notifications. You can unsubscribe from those but not from the replies that come in on a message you added to a thread on a board. Those are not the same as notifications/alerts. 2. Has anyone else who uses the RootsWeb interface noticed that with the new code rolled today the RootsWeb side now looks more like the Ancestry side? The display fills the screen and we get those stupid bubble pop-ups...I LOVE the change in display but could easily live without the pop-ups. One for two ain't bad! Joan

    2. Hi, Rene' (and Joan)- This "bug" cropped yesterday after the developers rolled some changes but, oddly, I was able later yesterday afternoon to click through to the next pages of my objections. When I told others it apparently was fixed and they tried it--it didn't work for them. <sigh> So, whatever is/was going on with clicking through on the objections pages the developers were aware of it and working on it as of yesterday--it isn't just you two having this problem. 3. No, you're not crazy, Nan. Doing a search on "snyder" I get these results: Localities > North America > United States > States > Pennsylvania > Counties > Snyder Surnames > Snyder-Holton Surnames > Snyderman But not SNYDER alone. Nor does drilling down through the alphabet (S > Sn > Sny) find the board. This is on both Ancestry and Rootsweb. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy ----- Original Message ----- *From:* Nan <nstarjak@gmail.com> *To:* board admins <boards-admins@rootsweb.com> *Sent:* 04/20/2009 10:31:03 PM +1200 *Subject:* [BAd] Tell me if I'm crazy > Next time you're on the boards, would you go to Find a Board and put > in Snyder, and see if the Snyder surname board comes up for you in the > search?
