I'm not having that problem with IE or the AOL browser--in fact the change they made IMPROVED the display of the boards for me -- it now looks just like the Ancestry side which always filled up the screen while the AOL screen used to be scrunched up in a narrower space. It's all proportional; just over-justified left. The same thing happens in Safari 4. Restarts and refreshes haven't corrected it. If I access the boards from the Ancestry side all looks the same as it used to - center-justified. Regardless of your system, is anyone one else seeing this? If not, it's probably something in my setup.

Paul- No--it just means they are not underlined as links. I'd suggest reporting this to the HelpDesk with a link to your board where you found the problem/bug. The anonymous posts SEEM to be fixed. This unclickable issue which doesn't seem to be widwspread seems like a new bug the fix introduced. Report it to the HelpDesk and give a link to a board where there is an example (I know you can't provide an exact link to what isn't clickable--but direct them to the board so they can see it). Lauren- GenConnect was never a "project" -- that was the name of our old message boards before the boards were redesigned. RAOGK is a volunteer project that doesn't have any requirement for the person doing the deed other than the willingness of one person to do a good deed for another and hopefully have them do a good deed for someone else in return. Expert Connect as I understand it from the discussion on the APG list involves professional or experienced genealogists performing professional services for others. Joan In a message dated 4/28/2009 8:39:48 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, listsmonster@gmail.com writes: Hrmmmm..... Looks like the GenConnect Project or Acts of Genealogical Kindness gone commercial. Also looks like a place for the "commercial" folks to go rather than get posts removed from the Boards. Will give it more of a look later. Am I getting the correct idea in my brief look that one need not be a CG to post one's services for fee there?
It's a 2-fold "anyone can be one" service to contract to be paid to (1) go get records, do research or (2) go take pictures (or I guess anything genealogical that Person A would pay Person B to look up or get). The emails/communication, the "contracted services" statements, and payment goes through Ancestry. And there's a rating. Similar to auction sites, basically, except it's services not products (well unless a "record" is a product). Not sure I like the idea. Photos posted through Ancestry's storage place for this service can be used by Ancestry or by 3rd parties.
