Hi Cheryl, I think most (?) admins just bookmark a board or put their boards into Favorites and we just go visit the boards on our own set schedules. Some check every day; others a few times a week; others once a week. It's also good practice to visit the boards regularly vs. relying on alerts because you'll miss seeing if you have Objections waiting. At least, this is my opinion. :-) Judy On Sun, Oct 4, 2009 at 11:43 AM, singhals <singhals@erols.com> wrote: > On Sep 26, JYoung6180@aol.com wrote: > > > David Graham posted a message on the boards acknowledging the problem > with > > the daily alerts emails and saying it's now been fixed. > > Well, it's the 4th of Oct according to my morning newspaper > and I still haven't seen an admin notice since the 25th. > > Gawd, I can't even get spam on my board ... ;) > > Cheryl > WVHampsh
Well, I've sort of assumed, all these years, that if I got no alert, there was nothing to admin and I didn't have to spend time admining nothing...so t'speak. However, I just now went over (since I actually got a 54.0 connext this afternoon), and Lo! 51 messags dating back to my last admin notice. In case anyone else is relying on those admin messages ... My point was to discover if I'm just lucky or if others are also not getting admin messages. Apparently, I'm lucky. Cheryl David E. Well, I don't rely on the alert EMAILS either. I just go to the admin center and click on My Alerts and review my boards from there. Joan In a message dated 10/4/2009 1:51:00 P.M. Makes sense to me, Joan, but I've gotta wonder what the point of Cheryl's post is on a list of fellow board admins who can do nothing about it. :-( It would appear to me to be a comment better directed to HD in the first place. :-( David E. You should be all right as long as the username you have associated with your board admin duties. Joan In a message dated 9/30/2009 12:21:26 P.M. Yup; Sep 15 to 23, no admin notices, on the 23rd, I got 53 in one swathe; and it's now the 26th and haven't seen one since the 23rd. Not that I have a major objection, mind; 99% of what gets sent to there is SPAM anyway so whether I delete it once a day or once a week can't do too much harm ... Cheryl

Wendy, I have so many questions it seems I'm in constant contact with David. <vbg> I just write via the Help Desk pages, but you could always write to messageboards@rootsweb.com Kind regards, Lynne Wendy Howard wrote: > > I've asked David to reopen the gateway. Messageboards would be the correct address -- and that will filter to the proper staffer at the HelpDesk. Joan In a message dated 9/24/2009 5:39:47 P.M.
