    3. Hi, I am the person who posted that message. It wasn't posted to the Hamilton Co., Message Board because it was posted to the surname board of the serviceman that it concerned. Because cross-posting is frowned upon by the stafff I made the decision to post it to the surname board and not the county board. I fill out the form to reset the password and it never comes to me. I've checked my spam filter- not there. What is the next step? Ceil Ceil- When you say you fill out the form to reset the password are you talking about a LIST or BOARD? The LIST admin page has a form for resetting the password but for boards you click on FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD? and receive an email listing all your accounts and can then click a link to change or reset your password and then you can just login using the new password. So let's be clear on which you are referring to here? If you are speaking about a board--have you checked the links and announcements page to be sure you are still the admin of the board? Joan

    2. Hello Folks, I'm the Admin. of the Hamilton Co., OH, mailing list and message board. Recently, someone posted an article about a WW I soldier's remains being shipped back to Cincinnati. I think this information should also be posted to the Hamilton Co. Message Board, since it might get more exposure for anyone searching for the family. Is it okay for me to post the contents of the email to the Message Board with an explanation that it was originally posted to the mailing list? Thanks for your advice, Marilyn

    3. By any chance is this person advertising the selling of a diary on eBay? I ve had some problems with a person doing this on a couple of my boards and other lists that I belong to. Their email address is fake and they change their name and address repeatedly. I notice that the person whose auctions they are advertising does have something for sale for Windham county. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BF.2ADIAE/1208.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Yahoo won't be able to help you. I've emailed them several times regarding this person, they want the headers from the emails/postings, which you can't get from the boards. This person has been spamming the boards all summer. Every once in a while I go through and try to find boards that she is spamming and submit them as spam to staff. I wasn't able to get a real email address on her, they all bounce back, are you sure on the 345 address? If so then maybe it will be possible to get something done about it. The seller of the auctions denies that it's her, but it's always her auctions and no one else's. I put a complaint into eBay too, but nothing was done - they also want headers. My suggestion from staff was when I find the spam to delete it, but submit it to staff first. Rene'

Folks can make up any address to post, whether legit or not.
