I recently went through the same process to get my boards all into one account. I still have a couple of lists hanging out there under different accounts and was looking for an easy way to change them to one account. The one thing I had to do which wasn't covered in the above, after getting the boards changed over, I had to empty my cookies folder to keep the old accounts from auto poping up when I accessed RW. That would change your address for ALL BOARD posts and admin boards registered under (or linked to) the account. It would have NO affect on the RootsWeb MyAccount registration--since the boards are not yet linked to MyAccount. Eventually I think it will accomplish everything at once but the boards are not linked to MyAccount as yet. Joan ------------------------------

A Read Only board is a board that no one can post to other than the admin or maybe staff. Often Read Only boards are ones that staff have closed for future posting and have maybe left old posts on the board to be viewed only but not replied to. I doubt that anyone requesting to become an admin of a closed/read only board would be approved as the admin. The board is closed. Joan
In the case you have cited, you have called it correct, to edit it just keep typing until it shows the correct one or you have made the entry. ========== Chris Johnson Hamilton NZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane Hettrick" <dhettrick@earthlink.net> To: <boards-admins@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 9:46 AM Subject: Re: [BAd] fast fields >I am a Mac user and things are different where we live. > Because of your & Jackie's responses and the fact that I can fill out > other on-line forms (as when I am buying something) with a single > key-stroke, my current theory is that my browser Safari is saving > everything I put into a form and it is reading the surname and subject > boxes as forms.
