    1. Re: [BAd] Notification URLs not working
    2. Beth Perry Johnston
    3. I've not received any My Notifications since the 16th but have been working through My Alerts to try to keep up. A couple of unfortunate things are happening, though. (1) I don't know the technical term for it, but to get from My Alerts to a board message various URLs are called to get there and they go by pretty swiftly until they get to "Transferring data from switchatdmt.com". Usually the holdup is only two or three seconds, but I've counted as long as six seconds sometimes and that really slows things up to an uncomfortable, time-wasting pace. (2) Leaving RootsWeb through the My Alerts page freezes my browser (Firefox), which eventually shuts itself down EVERY time. My first thought was it's a Firefox problem, but because it doesn't happen with any other pages think there's got to be something really weird about the My Alerts page. Also, I tried to get My Alerts in Opera a while ago, and it wouldn't even load the page. Right now the board aren't very much fun to work with! 2. Marilyn- Go to MyAccount: https://myaccount.rootsweb.com/ and click on the link to change username and password and follow instructions. This is all you need to do provided you are only using one username/password for every service that requires a username and is associated with the Ancestry UCDM database. If you use more than one and want to change multiple usernames--be sure you are logged in under the username you want to change when you click the above link to make the changes. 2. Lynne- I can sometimes get to my objections if I keep trying over and over -- finally they come up. However, I had an odd experience last night that fortunately I wasn't able to replicate since then... I clicked to view an objection and the message and board that came up for review were correct BUT...when I clicked on EDIT the edit screen that came up was for a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT message and different BOARD and it wasn't even a board I admin!!! I just backed out and clicked again and the correct message came up for editing this time and I was able to successfully edit the subject line (which was my original intention). I don't know whether I could actually have edited (had I tried doing so) the post from the board that was not mine. :( Joan --------------- Is everyone now able to view objections? 2. Lynne, I'm still having trouble viewing mine. I've had trouble since early November and couldn't view them at all until about Jan. 6th. They worked for one day and now I can't access them again so I'm complaining again. I'm also not able to use the Report Abuse link on a couple boards -- since November -- and I can't access the Recycle Bin on one board since Nov. 15th. Three complaints later, I still can access the Recycle Bin or the Report Abuse link. I don't understand why these boards still continue to be so "buggy" with the same OLD problems that keep happening over and over again. These boards have been in place since Dec. 2006. 3. I almost *never* am able to view anything the first time, Lynne. If I repeat or refresh multiple times, the screen usually comes up with or without objections. Last night it took three tries, I think it was. Two nights ago, I had an objection, but it took a couple "error screens" before I was able to view it. So, no, you are not alone in being unable to review them, at least not normally. Marilyn G. P.S. No, I haven't reported it. Guess I should. But I'm just tired of all the problems and I'm not happy with the options we have available when there is an objection. I thought there was always a fourth choice, but then it has been so long since I'd seen any, I don't really remember (have a lot less boards than I used to and then we were unable to view them for quite awhile).
