Hi group, Rose Guertin, coordinator of DCGenWeb, has written me to let us know that she's going to need to step down from that position as of January 1. In subsequent correspondence, she has recommended that Deb Remer, the listowner of the DC mailing list and a frequent contributor of data to DCGenWeb, be considered for the position. I'm not sure whether Rose has contacted Deb, or whether Deb would even want the position, but Rose indicated that she lives in the DC area, and is knowledgeable about the DC area and genealogy. How do we proceed? Since there are no counties involved, there can't be an election in this case. I guess we could also look at it this way - Rose *is* the only DCGenWeb coordinator, and if she voted for someone, they'd win, 1 to zip. :) The last known email address for Deb Remer, according to Rose, is <dremer1015@aol.com>.
