David, on this race I believe we specified before the election that with two candidates to be elected it would be the top two vote getters; on that basis I see no justification for a runoff. If #2 and #3 had gotten the same # of votes (instead of #3 and #4), then I'd be able to see it. piglet (megan zurawicz) ICQ: 18429839 genealogy-- http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~piglet quilting-- http://pages.prodigy.net/mspiglet theatre-- http://members.aol.com/tupacratz/poohpix.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: <Mainegen@aol.com> To: <BOARD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, 02 August, 1999 10:45 Subject: [BOARD-L] David Young's opinion > In a message dated 8/2/99 11:25:02 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > piglet@rootsweb.com writes: > > << NC race: Yes, a runoff, candidates A & B > AGREE > > SW/SC race: In this last election, in my opinion, A wins the two year term. > B, C, & D have to run off for the one year term office. > > > Enjoy, > > David C Young
