I understand that with 00-8, the board chose *not* to overturn the NC's action, but is that not effectively the same as ratifying it? What we've just done with motion 00-8 is to set the following precedent: Instead of requiring a 2/3rds majority of the board to PASS an important action, as I am quite sure the framers of the bylaws intended, we now will need a 2/3rds majority to KEEP an unwanted action from passing.
