Hi Pat - thank you. I assumed we were to post what we received and then as appropriate will be put on the agenda or a response like this will be provided. And your point is well taken, it maybe that we need to share this at each election as we constantly have new members. ~ Nancy Nancy Janyszeski NENC SC USGenWeb Project http://www.usgenweb.org From: Pat Asher <pjroots@att.net> To: Nancy Janyszeski <ncj@epix.net>; board@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, May 25, 2015 4:26 PM Subject: Re: [BOARD] Agenda Items [PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL LISTS] At 12:47 PM 5/25/2015, you wrote: >4. Nancy, the place to get information on current candidates is and has always been http://usgenweb.org/usgwelections/candidates-index.html Prior to the close of the nomination period, to see who has been nominated and who has accepted or declined, go to http://usgenweb.org/usgwelections/nominee-index.html Both of the above are available by clicking the HUGE link "USGenWeb National Election 2015" at the top of the EC home page, http://usgenweb.org/usgwelections/ Obviously, both the nominee and candidate page is blank as we go into the 2015 election period. But, as nominations are made, and accepted or declined, those nominees who accept a nomination can notify the EC Chair of the URL of their candidacy page, and it will be posted on the candidates-index page. OTOH, the EC can not force any candidate to campaign. The choice to have a campaign page is always up to the candidate. As to the part about a "multi-step process to say yea or nay on ONE thing" I have no idea what he or she is talking about. Do you? Pat Asher
