Mr. Smoot... Your request has been denied. It is the consensus of the Committee that we do not have the power to do so. We suggest you make your request of the Board. Please refer any future requests directly to the Board. The Election Committee will await further direction from the Board. Sincerely, The Election Committee CC Election Committee Board-L

What is the status of those of us on the Election Committee? I would initially assume we should abstain, but we can vouch for the results and thus should vote "AYE". I have a little problem with the part of saying thanks to ourselves. So I vote "Aye" with an additional "thanks" to the Board for allowing us to accept the challenge in the first place. If anyone believes my vote to be improper please state your reason. I'll either address the potential problem or change my vote to abstain. Dear Board Members: I am on vacation this week. So I am behind on my reading of my e-mails. As I do still have two more days, I return home to find over 200 e-mails on this address and I have three other e-mail address still to check. I will do my best to read all your stands on the issues. And if there is a vote on the floor will make my vote before my term ends in a few days. I have read quickly 50 of the messages and I have only 150 more to go. My Betty, wife, & I just back from PEI & NS, Canada, we had a great time and even got a little genealogical research done. Enjoy, David C. Young
Ms. Hammett, I have no direct financial interest in Rootsweb. I have no idea where and why that was untruth was started. As far as I know, there is no position of the Advisory Board on "anti-RW" or "anti-USGWP". You wrote: 4. It has been suggested publicly, but neither admitted, nor disclaimed, that Ms. James Henderson may have some kind of direct financial interest in Rootsweb.com, Inc., whether as an employee, contractor, shareholder or holder of stock options. As a result, I am also requesting that Ms. James Henderson so advise me since her acting as my representative in this matter would be inappropriate and a possible conflict of interest given the fact that Ms. Brausch's statements included the subject of Rootsweb (reference to me as "anti-RW"). The same request applies to any other representatives of this email. Live Well-Laugh Often-Love Much Yvonne in Burke, VA
