I have a proposed change: In case you weren't aware, there has been a lively discussion about the guidelines revisions on the SW list over the weekend, with one major complaint being that in these proposed guidelines, it will become a requirement for SC's and CC's alike to provide their full name, mailing address and telephone number to the NC. Now Sherri, would you really want to maintain a database of 1,500+ USGW members and their personal information? In the same paragraph it says that all coordinators must provide same to the State/Project Coordinator. The way it's written makes it sound like the requirement to provide personal data will apply to both SC's and CC's--sending their personal info to the NC AND the SC. The sentence referring to SC's sending to the NC needs to stand alone. IMHO, the reference to "coordinators must provide same to the State/Project coordinator to which she/he belongs" needs to be removed. If we're going to use this as a requirement (CC contacts to their SC's, etc), it needs to be separated out of the SC guidelines. And I haven't made up my mind yet as to whether the CC part should be a requirement or just a recommendation. Right now I don't see it being covered anywhere in the current CC guidelines, unless I've missed it. Apparently I have either forgotten or missed something as I am not recalling any event or action that would require such an action. However, after my fall last week, I guess anything is possible. I don't remember anything either, that would require such an action. I thought no one knew who the Grievance Committee mediators and arbitrators were. Only the GC and the people involved in the grievance being mediated or arbitrated would know them. Could you please explain the need for this motion?
