He was born July 17, 1937 in Bremen, Ohio (Fairfield County) the son of Porter H. Blosser and Anna (Schull) Blosser. He married Martha (Gilligan) on October 10, 1959 and was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Junction City. Porter Leon retired as a supervisor from Anchor Glass following over 28 years of service. He was a former member of the Junction City Fire Department and was a Baseball Coach. Porter Leon was an avid gardener known for his gardening. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Porter is survived by his wife of the home, Martha Blosser; one daughter, Lisa Blosser of New Lexington, Ohio; three sons, Brent and Tammy Blosser of Junction City, Scott Blosser of Sarasota, FL and Jeff Blosser of Somerset, OH; six grandchildren, Kristin and Ryan Ankrom of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Kyle and Jessica Blosser of Heath, Ohio, Thane Blosser of Junction City, Quinton Blosser of Somerset, Mallory Blosser of Somerset and Garrett Blosser of Junction City; two great grandchildren, Jacob Ankrom and Allison Ankrom; one sister Patricia Ashbaugh of Bremen, OH and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Porter was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law: Henry and Alice Gilligan and a special brother-in-law, Robert Sullivan. Friends may call for 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the Roberts Windgardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, OH Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:30 AM, Wednesday, July 2 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Junction City. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pickering House Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130 in Porter's memory.
