I was about ten yrs old and Pat was sitting in the library of my grade school I attended in Lebanon Ore. prior to a Christmas program. He was asked about his experiance and He began to tell his story. Before long many of us were captivated as we listened to his account of what happened, It was amazing the many years later as I watched the movie Titanic how much of Pats story came to life. How as a third class passenger they locked the doors and were forced to break it down to escape. too the sound of the people when they hit the water...Pat broke down as he remembered that horrific event..His Irish accent making it hard to understand all of what he was saying...He seemed to carry alot of that night with him and that was 1970 or so..
