No proof. Could John be a brother of my Michael or at the very least, his uncle? See Michael Blessington has me confused. His first three kids were supposedly born in NY 1834, 1836 & 1837. Then they moved into Ohio where the other three were born. I am not throughly convinced that the first three kids are Margaret Dimond's kids. Then from there, they moved into Des Moines Co., Iowa and eventually Illinois. The story I was told was that after my Bridget died, my GG Grandfather, James Tollen went back to the Blessington home and married Catherine. HOWEVER, I just found the marriage record for James and Catherine and they married in Des Moines Co., Iowa 1874! It was a shotgun wedding because 3 months after they were married, their son Thomas was born. LOL Now, in 1870, James and Bridget as well as Michael and Catherine were in Illinois. In 1880, Michael was living with his son, Terrence, in Missouri and I was not able to find him in the 1900 census AT ALL... I tried all the usual mis-spellings. He wasn't with his son Terrence either. Someone said he went back to Illinois and died in 1907? I have seen no proof of his death so I can't say 100% that's true.
