Her parents were Dennis Blessington (1774-April 4, 1868)and Bridget Travers (abt. 1800- March 18, 1870). Catherine married Barney Dolan abt. 1845, and lived primarily in Haverhill, MA, and died in 1878. She had one sister that I know of, Margaret (1828-1903), who was married to Michael Dooley and lived in Groveland, MA. there may have been another sister, Bridget that lived in CT, but I am not certain. I think it is highly likely that your John, and my Catherine were siblings. From the research I did a few years ago, I think there may have been only one Dennis Blessington in all of Leitrim at that time. Are you certain about John's birthdate? Dennis Blessington's death record from 1868 stated that he was 94, which may have been inflated. If not, he would have been 60 at John's birth.
