Hi to all Cousins, In my last e-mail (some time ago), regarding "Bermondsey Blaxalls", I listed Queen's Arms Court and Queen Ann's Court as separate addresses. This could be so, but it now occurs to me that these could be the same place but copied differently due to imperfect hearing on the part of the Registrar/Census taker(s), or bad transcription later down the line. Incidentally, when dealing with London addresses, it is worth bearing in mind the following quote that I found recently:- "In 1888, the General Post Office (GPO) and the London County Council (LCC) carried out a complete survey of all London streets, renaming some so as to eliminate duplication of street names and, where necessary, re-numbering streets so as to ensure that the lowest number in any street was nearest to the local Post Office." Although it says 'nearest Post Office', I believe it to mean 'nearest Postal Delivery Office', which, in most cases, but not necessarily so, was the nearest Post Office (with a counter).
