Pat, I definitely think the BLANKENSHIPs - some of them - lived in the Melungeon community. There are GIBSON connections in my direct line that I know were "Melungeon" or are at least listed on census records as FPC ... My great-grandfather had children by 2 sisters, kept 2 houses on the same property - a family in each. Bkay
