    3. Several of you asked for a copy of the cemetery records I received on the Blankenship line. Instead of sending to each one of you I sent it to this site so everyone could see it. Not one person said "Thanks." I've been on this site for sometime now hoping to find information on my Blankenship line and can't get any answers. Am I to take it that this is a private group? I've had e-mails from other Blankenship searchers who also never see their line or seem to get any answers when they post something. What a shame. Sue B

    3. Greetings: I for one looked at my e-mail tonight and had not gone to your earlier post because I had downloaded them to a disc and had not read them. Now, I have read them and I say thank you!!!!!!! Margie Blankenship Salazar Just Ducky wrote: > Several of you asked for a copy of the cemetery records I received on the Blankenship line. 3. Sue, I am sorry you have been disappointed in getting info on your Blankenships on the List. I also have hit a brick wall with my Ky Blankenships and I suppose no one answers for one or two reasons, maybe more. I would guess that they know nothing about that line, as in mine which I will detail later, and the other may be that some people need more info to know if it fits with theirs, I just don't know. I am sorry not to hear, also, but I can't give up hope. I have been looking for over 30 years for anything about my gr grandfather. He didn't die so long ago, as genealogy goes. He died about 1904-10 in Hardin Co, Ky. Edmund or Edwin Blankenship was born about 1822 in Ky or Va according to census. He was found in Breckenridge Co and Hardin Co Cendsus from 1850-1900. He married Mary Priest of Breckenridge family and they had several children. She died in the mid 1860's and he remarried to Sarilda Bowles and had more children. I have info that Ed had one brother, James who also married three times. They lived near a Wm Blankenship as given in the 1860 Hardin Co, Ky census, and I suspect he could be their father. Yet there is no other clue. This Wm was born in 1875 in Va and bragged in a newspaper article in 1878 that he was 113 years old! I have a list of his children, but no death date or even marriage date to either of his two wives. The first one was named Cindarilla ___ and the second was Sarah. I am also looking at a Henry Blankenship in Christian Co, Ky who was b in 1776 in Chesterfield Va and claimed to be 120! He married Sally Mason and had a large family. He died in late 1890's. So I guess none of this is familiar with you, either. I speculate they could have come from Blankenships in Southern Ky or some may have gone to NC from Va. All speculation. 3. Janet, I don't have any ties in with what you have listed. However, and I don't think this is going to help you any I just received another list of Blankenship marriages and in it lists a Cindrilla Bartram who married a Lawson Blankinship Sept. 30, 1852 in Lawrence, Ohio. Oh, believe me I have not given up hope just hit a lot of brick walls and I don't mind sharing, I do mind when I don't at least get a "thank you" for the time I put in. I do a lot of lookups here in Virginia for people all over the place and I can't think of one time when I've sent information back they haven't said "thank you" even if I can't find their person. Enough said. Back to searching!!! And as someone said on this list or another......"I believe my missing Blankenship's are part of the witness protection program!" 3. I have been on the Riggs list since it started but no one knows my Rachel, I don't quit, I just keep looking. Back in the old days before the net no one expected instant access to all their ancestors, it requires patience, and may take years, one of these days I will find a family for Rachel, you will find yours as well Thanks for writing, Sandy in Florida On Fri, 6 Oct 2000, Just Ducky wrote: > Several of you asked for a copy of the cemetery records I received on the Blankenship line.
