Pat, my paternal grandmother (not on the Blankenship line)reportedly had some Native American blood but when she was born in the late 1800's, it was frowned on having a bi-racial marriage. We have tried to prove that but as with so many other things in genealogy what our ancestors hid, they did a superb job at it.
