Kay, Boy, that is a scarey thought isn't it? Let's hope it was a very rare thing. I don't even want to think about it, but I guess we must face reality. Maybe the gene pool was diverse enough to tolerate it! Our Chambers and Blankenships married cousins -- that we know for sure. That wasn't uncommon however, so they weren't unique. Do you find Blankenships among the Melungeons? I have visited that website and read enough to think that is a distinct possibility. I ordered some books on Melungeons through interlibrary loan and find it fascinating. It would answer a lot of questions that I have. Pat
