Do you have verification that he was the father of Lewis Blankenship who married Hannah Thomas? It is a good hypothesis but I have not seen a record. Sorry Larry, the Lewis you are refering to, I do not know. I do know that Spencer Blankenship had a son named Lewis, and they all moved to Indiana. Mine, and the other 2, we are trying to sort out is all Franklin County, VA. And that is where my Lewis J. died in 1906. He is buried at Boones Mill, Rocky Mount, VA. on the Blackwater River.
