hi guys, I found my Calvin Blankenship in a Court Record book and this is what it says: "Blankenship, Calvin, Int. Admrx, Delilah BLANKENSHIP, 2 Sept. 1865. Sec, James R. CRADDOCK & Byars MOONEY (pgs. 4 & 1)" My first question, Is September 2, 1865 the date that his estate went into probate, if not, what does that date mean? My second question, What does James Craddock and Byars Mooney have to do with anything? I am assuming that Sec = Secretary? As you can tell, I am VERY new to researching records other than the vitals and census records. I am hoping that one of you guys who have turned into old pros at it, will be able to shed some light on this for me! Thanks a bunch!
