Hi Sonya, I meant to write earlier and send my condolences on the passing of your Uncle Beverly Blankenship. I hope you got to interview him for your family files before he passed away. I'm going to suggest that you check into Jesse B. Blankenship as the father of John Peter. John Peter was born about 1823, could have been living with his grandfather, John, on the 1830 census. Just theories I've been working on. By the way, I think all of John Peter's children were born in Franklin Co., and the family always resided there.
