    1. [BLANKENSHIP] Edmund Blankenship
    2. Sue: Wish your theory was right but just couldn't be. Edmund was in Madison County, Al in 1808. Rowland came in 1818. They lived on adjoining property and rented slaves together. I stumbled on this information in the Courthouse when looking for Browns in the index. A man came from Bedford Couinty to try to Collect a judgment that had been rendered against Edmund in 1807 and we think that's probably why he left. The fact that Rowland came later and they became closely associated leads us to believe there was a close relationship there. Since I have had no luck in finding Rowland's parents/siblings, I thought it worth a try to see if I could have better luck with Edmund which might lead me to Rowland's family. So far no luck. The parentage of both is a big mystery and I KNOW THEY HAD PARENTS! Will just keep on trying. Thanks for your time and help. Nolene
