    2. Hey researchers, This may not mean a lot to all of you but to me it is a MAJOR find. This is just one part of what I hope will be many, many more that connects the Mass family to the VA family. I looked at the whole family chart on the Weeks and the same family were found in Bedford, VA living close to my line of Blankenships. 1. George Weeks born Abt 1603, Devonshire, England, Admitted to church 21-DEC-1639, married Abt 1625, in England, Jane Clapp, born Abt 1604, Salcombe Regis, Devonshire, England, (daughter of William Clapp and Johana Channon) died 2-Aug-1668, Dorchester, Suffolk Co., MA, Sister of Roger Clap. George died 27-Oct-1650, Dorchester, Suffolk Co., MA. 'GENEALOGY-WEEKES, WEEKS, WICKES,' 1885. Pg 27-32. Came from Devonshire, Eng to Dorchester, MA. 1635 (1636). Tradition has it that 3 brothers came with him, Thomas, Francis, one drowned-this one may be "Jo: [Joseph] age 26" Admitted to Church 21 Dec 1639. "made ffree" 13 May 1640. Inventory of estate appendix A1 Pg 385-6-7-8. 'Weekes Genealogy, Part II', 1892. Pge 64. In all probability a junior branch of the family of Roger Wykes, of Bindon, Axmouth. Home was at Salcombe Regis. Was there Oct 1636. Made Freeman 13-May-1640. Jane: Sister of Roger Clap. He came in the "Mary & John" abt 1630 to Dorchester,MA. Children: + 2. i William Weeks. + 3. ii Ammiel Weeks born 1633. + 4. iii Joseph Weeks. 5. iv Jane Weeks born England. 6. v John Weeks 7-Mar-1652. 7. vi Elizabeth Weeks 18-Sep-1653.
