Hello researchers, I know that several of you Blankenship kin also have ties to Finks. I received this email, and thought that many of you could help Bruce Fink. I know my info is not 100% correct, and so I thought together we could get as accurate as possible. He wrote (in a nutshell)... My name is Bruce Colburn Fink. I am a grandson of Jennie C. Blankenship (b. 17 April 1867) and George W. Fink (b. June 1865), who lived in Giles County, VA on Wolfe Creek. Their children included Acie, Elmer, Lawrence, Clarence, Andrew, and my father, Stokes Herbert Fink, Sr. I will be happy to transmit to you all of the information I have, which traces my grandfather George W. Fink to his German ancestors to 1793. Meanwhile, I did notice that you may differ with me about the names of both George and Jennie Fink. I have records from their family bible that I have used and have reason to believe that my information is more accurate than some other that I have seen. The Finks I listed were married to siblings of my Blankenship ancestors. 3 Fink siblings: George M Fink, Margaret Fink**, and William J Fink, all children of Valentine Fink and Nancy White, all married Blankenship siblings, children of William Charlton & Parthena Blankenship. (are you confused yet just from that thought? Good grief!) ** to add to the mix: Margaret Fink married (1st) Hiram Blankenship. Hiram died living her a widow, years later she married Noah Blankenship - Hiram's brother (yes, another sibling!!), he was a widower.
