    3. Lynda, Here are four B'shp books that I'm aware of. I looked thru a copy of Col. Leslie's book and found nothing at the time, but I know a lot more now. "Blankenship Ancestors" ©1985 by Gayle K. |Blankenship "Blankenship Family History" ©1992 by Col. Leslie Blankinship "Blankenship Records, Vols I & II" ©1985 by Julia Gougler & Betty Carson. "The Georgia Blankenships", sold by Myra E. Blankenship, the widow of |the author. I believe the listowner of the B'shp list has details, but I'm not certain. Thanks . . . . . Bob Bryant (Please acknowledge receipt of this message)

    3. Thanks, Bob. I figured you had already searched through what was available and come up empty. But it's always worth posting a new message every once in a while, as list members change, people have info that they can't fit, and someone else's query rings a bell, etc. I've been spending the last few days tracking down descendants of Nancy Ann Eliza Coxwell Riley McLendon's stepchildren (daughters of her first husband, Spencer Riley). Found an obit that said he was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon. Called the cemetery, and the lady on the phone knew all about it. Spencer, first wife, and two infant twin daughters were buried in unmarked graves. She remembered someone else had inquired about it recently. Left my phone numbers. Then, on Monday got a call from a man whose wife's family owned the plot next to Spencer's, and they had been trying to determine ownership so they could buy the unused half (the plot has 10 gravesites) for his wife and himself to be buried next to her family. One of Spencer's daughters, Sarah Jane, married Nancy AE's brother, Thomas Jefferson Coxwell. Wouldn't it be funny if we found descendants and they didn't want to sell! Actually, it would take a court petition to settle this, since how could you possibly locate all living descendants and get 50% to sign off?
