I don't remember what I posted but I think the other person was confusing Captain Stewart (called Bushyhead because of his untamed red hair) with Rev. Jesse Bushyhead. But I thought the person wanted to contact Rev. Robert Bushyhead and I was going to tell her how. LOL! There are lots of Blankenships who live on the Qualla Reservation. Have you spoken with them? Bob Blankenship has composed two books Cherokee Roots East and Cherokee Roots West. I was fixing to look up your names in his book but realize I don't have a copy here with me. I'll look in the morning when I go back to my bookstore and let you know. Don't let me forget this -- age is showing in my memory these days. I'm not sure where White County, Georgia is or if it is within the old Cherokee Nation. White County is South of here. Let me know. Talk to you later. I am going on very little information here, but was hoping maybe you could shed a little light. I am looking for information on one of my husbands ancestors, Milley Thompson from White Co., Georgia. She married John B. Blankenship in Shelby County AL in 1827. Milley and John then adopted her two sisters, Morning C. and Jane. Their mother was Martha Fields. I was told by another Blankenship researcher this Martha was related to Rev Bushyhead, but he did not remember where he got this information. If you can supply any details, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks Patricia Visit us at Firelight Books & Gifts, a Native American book store
