Mike, No -- but you're warm. He was a coal dealer (in Montgomery, Illinois!) If there was a Peach Creek Mine in WV owned by a Blankenship -- maybe that would help Hope. It would be worth investigating. I have seen a Gedcom file (maybe I copied it -- I'll check) that has some West Virginia Blankenship lines that tie into the Hatfield-McCoy clans. Pat T.
