    3. Hi Tammy I do a great deal of research in Izard Co., Arkansas and the neighboring counties. Once in Arkansas, that is the area that most of my ancestors settled in during the 1800s. I have a little bit of data on James Wren, but am sure that I can find more for you. His wife's name was Elizabeth Hightower. The only child as of yet that I had listed for them was a Charity Wren and she married into the Byler family. If you need that data, I would be glad to send it to you privately......as it has nothing to do with the Blankenships......and am sure that it would bor everyone! LOL I don't have anything on the Duers. And it is Duer, not Due/Dew.....right? The Due/Dew surname I am familiar with. Let me hear from you. 3. Thanks Bernie, I appreciate that info. Yes, it is Duer. William Duer married Martha Wren in 1840. I would kill to get a copy of that marriage document! I emailed the site director(Izard Co.) and it was returned undeliverable. On the 1850 Census they are William 37 born Pa. and Martha 27 KY, Charlotte,James, Shadrack and William Jr. James stayed in Ark. and the rest went to Mo. William SR. bought land in 1861, and Martha has 4 parcels, James has 2. Martha filed for Williams' pension in Mo. and he bought land there in 1870. The rest I know about Shad, he is my husbands' gggrandfather, he had land all the way to CA! ha That is where my father in law is now. I knew the Hightower connection, but need to know William Sr. Father in Pa. for sure. I think it is William Hollingshead Duer & Charlotte Anderson, but need to confirm. There are tons of Anderson's in Mo. at that time also, plus some Duers from Ohio. Haven't connected them all up yet. The William Duer was a Congressman in that period, and James Wren, Martha's dad, was the big Judge in Izard Co. There is loads to read in bio's on the Duers, because they were famous in Washington, but have not been able to tie in. I saw a land listing for Lewis Blankenship in Ark. too. Probably that Louis that that other woman was looking for. My Lewis J. Blankenship stayed in VA. Thank Goodness!! haha Thanks for you assistance....Tammy ----- Original Message ----- From: Bernice Moore Knowles <knowmoore11@home.com> To: <BLANKENSHIP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 26, 2000 7:55 PM Subject: Re: [BLANKENSHIP] Izard Co., Arkansas - Tammy > Hi Tammy > > I do a great deal of research in Izard Co., Arkansas and the neighboring > counties.
