I recently visted the archives and printed an e-mail I dont know who it was from but " These were fowarded to me by a friend and I thought I would pass them on to the list. Marriage Index: KY, NC, TN, WV, 1728-1850." I found a listing for Calvin M Blankenship Spouse: Emelia Hays Marriage date: 23 Sept 1838. Does anyone know what Index that was referred to and if someone has access to one? I would love to have further information on this Calvin. My guess was that this is a CD-ROM. I checked www.FamilyTreeMaker.com for "Calvin Blankenship" and found a match to one of their CDs. Here's a link to the description. http://www.familytreemaker.com/229facd.html There are lots of messages re: various Calvin Blankenships. You might find this info for free on one of the county Rootsweb.com sites, or connect with someone who would do lookups. Personally, I resist paying $30 or more for a CD to get ONE record! These CDs are nothing more than scanned printed indices; I don't think they have images of actual records, at least not the CDs I have back in the days when they were under Banner Blue. All you get is the names of bride and groom, date and county where the marriage license was recorded.
