My computer files was destroyed, will someone send me the address to obtain state and county websites and surname archives...or tell me where to find them.............. Thanks for any help...............RON
Just go to www.rootsweb.com, then to US States/Counties. Or to www.cyndislist.com Now, let's all back up our files tonight!! I use a desk top and a lap top. The desktop is my working file. When I backup my genealogy program (PAF 2.31, it takes 6 1.44 disks), I then restore my laptop with the backup file. As I remove disk #1 from the desk top and insert disk #2, I insert disk #1 in the laptop to restore. It's not a bad idea to have TWO sets of backup disks, to use on alternate backup days.
