Mike, I am so glad you mentioned the difference in the use of the names. As a relatively new Blankenship researcher, I thought they were the same. I guess I should give up on receiving a response to my quire as to information about Elizabeth Blankenship, born around 1763 in Warren County and married in Warren County, around 1779/1780 to Humphrey Garland of Yancey County,NC. I didn't find an Elizabeth listed as a child of a Joseph. I would appreciate it very much if some one could offer any suggestions as to how to go about my search.
