Hi KATHY , I'm so excited about the research you sent. There is a problem though. I am really new at this computer stuff and I don't understand when it tells me it doesn't recognize the jpg and I have to double click on My Computer. Is that a right or left click? and it seems there is a step missing. How do you do it? Thanks so much. DG

Hi, [You can left double-click, or right click [once] & click OPEN] If you DON'T have a genealogy program, let me know & I can tell you where to download one for free. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GENEALOGY PROGRAM: !-Go to the e-mail I sent with the file attachment. 2-Double-click [left] on attachment [Pop-up box asks if you want to SAVE TO DISK or OPEN IT???] 3-Click OPEN & OK. [Pop-up box will ask you what program you will always want to open it in. Scrol down to MSWord or Wordpad. Click it & click OK.] It should save into that program. IF YOU DO HAVE A GENEALOGY PROGRAM: DO 1 & 2, then: 3-Click SAVE TO DISK & OK. [It will want you to name it. It will then go into your genealogy program data files. Back out of the e-mail & go to genealogy program. Open program.] When your files come up: Click FILE Click IMPORT {pop up box-----If on Desktop, click on it, & then double-click on C:\] Double-click on [name of your genealogy program] Double-click on DATA Click on file name & click IMPORT/OK. It will load into your new genealogy file so you can go thru it. If you want to put any of it into your own file, let me know & I'll talk you thru it. See if this works.
